Laying out intricate designs is a daily challenge for construction crews. The Leica iCON Layout Objects app simplifies this process by allowing users to lay out directly from 3D models by selecting objects like columns or pipes with a tap on the controller for faster, more accurate results.
How does it Work?
The Leica iCON Total Station uses surveyor-set control points to establish precise positioning. By creating a prism of six triangles, we achieve accuracy within 1/8 inch and can layout, verify, and establish new control points for subcontractors with pinpoint precision.
What does it do?
The Leica iCON Total Station helps ALLCO measure, plot, and verify dimensions throughout each project. It is used to check footings, pad setbacks, ATS, hold downs, j-bolts, drains, risers, wall layouts, and plumbing stacks. With precision up to ¼”, it ensures accurate layout and helps prevent issues as construction progresses. Our trained team operates it on-site as needed.
This software uses state-of-the-art point cloud drones to create a virtual 3D map, allowing CADD utility, pad, and grading plans to be overlaid and verified to 0.1 US survey foot accuracy. It also enables slope and grade analysis, volume calculations, distance measurements, and rain projection for pooling.
Cost savings example: When a Magnum wall was built on the wrong side of a survey line, the software allowed us to identify and correct the issue in five minutes instead of waiting for a surveyor. We can also perform preliminary setback checks and verify weekly civil billing against import and export quantities to prevent overbilling.
